Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN F. POITRAS John F. Poitras, 86, formerly of Winnipeg, died Tuesday, December 19, 2000 at home. Born in Winnipeg, he lived there until he moved to Edmonton in 1979. His beloved wife Marie died in 1998. He retired from Shell Oil Co. in 1979. John was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 255. Survivors include two daughters, Maxine Howarth of New Jersey, and Treasure Whaley of Edmonton; three grandchildren, Tanis, Tara and Richard; and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lawrence and Ferdinand of Winnipeg and Edward; two sisters, Dolly in Ontario and Frances in Winnipeg and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 16102 Fort Road, Edmonton. EVERGREEN FUNERAL CHAPEL. Telephone 780-472-9019.
