HAZEL F. KENNEDY THOMAS Peacefully, at the Balmoral Club in Toronto, on Wednesday, January 17, 2001, beloved wife of the late Rev. Dr. J.B. Thomas. She was much loved by her family, children, Barbara (and Bastiaan van Gent) of Amsterdam, Alyson of New York City, Richard (and Sharon) of Toronto; grandchildren, Paul (and Maxine), Diana (and Michael), Karl, Christopher, Meagan and Hilary; and great-grandchildren, Alexander, Jessica, Mariah, Stefani and Sasha. Following her graduation from the University of Manitoba and marriage to Burton Thomas in 1934, she embarked with him on a 43 year ministry in the following Anglican Parishes: St. Johns, East Calgary; Holy Trinity Cathedral, New Westminster; St. Mathews Church, Winnipeg; St. Johns Cathedral, Winnipeg; Bishop Cronyn Memorial Church, London, ON; and the Church of the Heavenly Rest, New York City. Memorial Service to be held Wednesday, January 24 at 11:30 a.m. at Grace Church-on-the-Hill, 300 Lonsdale Rd. (Russell Hill Road and Lonsdale), Toronto. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of ones would be appreciated by the family.
