Born in Ladywood, MB, October 28, 1919. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Charleton) dear father of Doug and his wife Joan; loving grandfather of Matthew, James (Catherine), Jennifer and great-grandfather of Justin; also survived by one brother Bill (Ruth) of Winnipeg and two sisters, Betty Rentz of Winnipeg and Barbara Gardon (Ron) of California and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, James and Bob and two sisters, Frances Kohlbek and Velma Newton. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave., Ottawa, on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 27 at 11:00 a.m. followed by cremation. Those wishing may make memorial donations to the charity of their choice.
