MARY POPOFF It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary Popoff (Resansoff) in Winnipeg on January 28, 2001. Mom was born on a farm in Cote, SK on July 1, 1920. Mom and dad moved to Winnipeg in 1960. Mom loved her job at St. Vital Hospital and St. Amant Centre, where she worked with older adults and children. After retirement, she lived in a seniors apartment until one and a half years ago, when she became ill and moved to Misericordia Place Nursing Home. The staff there were just great to her. She died peacefully, with family by her side. Mary is predeceased by her parents; brothers and husband. She is survived by her daughters, Pauline Solway, Sonia (George) Shukin, Bonnie Russo, Debbie Perrin; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Veregin Cemetery, in SK., where she will be buried with her husband, W.J. Popoff.
