ANNE TINGLEY
Born: May 27, 1911
Date of Passing: Feb 10, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE TINGLEY On Saturday, February 10, 2001, at her home, 3101 Crescent Gardens, Surrey, B.C. Born May 27, 1911, in Selkirk, Man., the only surviving child of the late Ann and William MacDonald, originally of Hilton, Scotland. Anne married June 22, 1936, to Bruce Tingley of Selkirk. Devoted mother of one son Grant of Victoria, B.C., and one daughter Tarrel Armstrong; mother-in-law of Bob Armstrong of Redditch, UK; sister-in-law to Neen Tingley in Winnipeg; grandmother of Michel in Ottawa and of Alexis in Edmonton; aunt of Hallie-Anne Riby at Pearson Residence in Vancouver and of Roberta Pawlak in Los Angeles. Anne will be fondly remembered by many loving friends in Winnipeg, Calgary, Victoria and Montreal. Anne and Bruce retired to White Rock in 1984 and moved to Crescent Gardens Residence in 1999. After several months of decline because of anemia, Anne passed away at her home in perfect peace with no suffering. She was, to the end, in the loving care of her son Grant and of her husband Bruce. She was supported by prayers of family and friends and by care and love of SLS professional staff of Crescent Gardens. She was a member of the PEO Sisterhood in all of the cities mentioned. She was also a longtime member of the White Rock Rotary-Anns. Her warm disposition and caring attitude established many close and enduring relationships. Cremation in Surrey will be followed by interment and a memorial service in White Rock. Arrangements are deferred to June 2001. The only suitable memorial we suggest is that you may wish to privately perform some special act of generosity or kindness and then report this only to God in your prayers as a tribute to her memory. Annes legacy to her family and friends is the memory of her warm, caring and devoted smile. From her vantage point she will learn of your action. She will remember and be happy. She will smile again.
