Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT EARL TINSLEY Peacefully after a brief illness, Earl passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital on Saturday, March 3, 2001 with his family at his side. He was born in Winnipeg on October 29, 1915 and resided there all his life. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of nearly 57 years Theresa in 1998; also his brother Dick and his parents. He is survived by his daughter Lynne Fotti (Ron), grandson Dean Fotti (Kelly) of New Zealand, granddaughter Jennifer Fotti (Kevin) and his only great-grandchild, Madison Brooke Fotti; his sisters, Pearl Threadkill of Winnipeg and Doreen Campbell of Edmonton, as well as nieces and nephews. Earl served overseas in the Second World War with the 2 Canadian Infantry Division, being awarded the Croix de Guerre with silver star for gallant and distinguished action on April 17, 1945 along with other military distinctions. He was a life member of The Royal Canadian Legion Brooklands and Weston Branch, having served as President, Vice-President and Secretary for many years. He worked for the City of Winnipeg, Waterworks Division for many years, retiring in 1977. We would like to thank the wonderful staff on the 5th floor Palliative Care Units 1 and 3 for their caring, concern and support. Also thanks to Dr. Kevin Saunders for his caring and understanding. Cremation has taken place and at Earls request there will be no service. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
