Predeceased by wife Marion in 1988; also grandson Jeffrey. Survived by daughter Grace and son-in-law Colin Fazan; sister Thelma Dyson; grandsons, Russell and Vincent; nephew Shane Dyson and their families, and best friend King. George served overseas with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in the Second World War, returning to spend many months in Deer Lodge, eventually losing a leg due to injuries from stepping on a land mine in France. He became a watch maker, jeweller, finally retiring to Quesnel in 1980. He was an officer and a gentleman and will always be missed. Cremation. Private family service. In Georges memory a charitable donation to the War Amps of Canada or local SPCA would be truly appreciated.
