DEBORAH LYNN QUON (MEYER) Peacefully surrounded by her "children" and family, Debbie passed away into the arms of her mom and two sisters, who are waiting for her. Debbie was fortunate to have been the recipient of lungs in 1995 and was able to have a few years trouble free breathing, thanks to a donor who took the time to sign their drivers license and discuss their wishes with their family. She was able to live her dream of going to Walt Disney World, Florida and to take a cruise to the Bahamas, all in the year 2000. Her biggest fear in life was the mistreatment of all animals. The well being of animals, especially her own, were what was most important to her. She took care of stray cats by putting food out and giving them a warm place to sleep on her deck. Her only regret is what would happen to those stray cats after her passing. She made arrangements for all of her beloved "children" prior to her passing. Debbie leaves to mourn her passing her beloved "Babies"; her Dad Walter (Joy) her aunts, Sonia, Ingrid, Rita; numerous cousins; grandmother Katherine; grandparents, Walter and Marlene; and numerous friends. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 28 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing at 1:30 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Highway 1 East at Navin Road. Cremation will follow with interment at a later date. Flowers are appreciated. For those who wish to make a donation, may do so to: Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3L 1X3 or to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Box 2100833 - 3900 Grant Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3R 3R2. A very special thank you to Nelson for taking care of her and her animals and to the Lung Transplant Group. As well as the doctors, nurses and staff at Ward G-H-6 at the Health Sciences Centre.
