MARY RAFLANT Suddenly on Saturday, March 24, 2001 at the Grace Hospital, Mary Raflant aged 87 years of Stonewall, Manitoba. Born September 28, 1913 at Pleasant Home, Mary had lived in Stonewall for the past 70 years. She was predeceased by her husband Frank March 25, 1981 and by a grandson Leslie in 1988. Surviving to mourn her loss two sons and two daughters Roy (Kay), Edward (Donna), Shirley and Doris; six grandchildren Brian, Lois, Donna, Greg, Pam and Christina; four great grandchildren; one brother Bill Korp of New Westminster, B.C., Brad and Dan Marshall mourn her loss as their special Grandma. At Marys request a Private Funeral Service was held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 5, in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall, Rev. Mary Best officiated. Interment followed in the Stonewall Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dan Marshall, Brad Marshall, Alan Gluchi, Ernie Mozdzen, Munro Ross and Don Mollard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Arthritis Society. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of the arrangements.
