Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVALORIE GAIL RAMSEY January 8, 1958 - April 14, 2001 On Saturday, April 14, 2001 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Palliative Care Unit, after a lengthy illness, Valorie Ramsey, aged 43, peacefully passed away with her family at her side. Valorie is survived by her one daughter Glenna (Vince) Berens of Winnipeg; five sons, Clayton (Tammy) of Brandon, Richard, Freeman, twins Shane and Shawn; and her two grandsons and five granddaughters of Winnipeg. Valorie will be lovingly remembered by her mother Bernice McCorrister; grandparents, Ethel and Keith Elliot; seven brothers, Melvin, Sheldon (Sharon), Jimmy, Robert, Michael (Donna), Clifford, all of Winnipeg and Greg of Peguis. Also to cherish her loving memory is her special friend Scott Thomas, her numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many, many friends. Valorie was predeceased by her father Melvin McCorrister and aunt Donna Ramsey. Valorie was born in West Selkirk. She was a caring, loving, compassionate mother and grandmother who was loved by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit with special thanks to nurse Joanne. Honorary pallbearers will be Valories brothers. Prayers will be said on Thursday, April 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave. Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 20 at 2:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., with Rev. Mark Becker officiating. Interment to follow at St. Peters Old Stone Church Cemetery, Selkirk, MB.
