Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM JOSEPH (JOE) HODGINS It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph William (Joe) Hodgins on March 30, 2001 at the Bayside Personal Care Home in Killarney, Man. after a brief illness. Joe was born on February 28, 1907 in Killarney and resided in that area for 94 memorable years. Joe will be dearly missed by his family but especially his wife, Dorothy. They would have been married for 71 years on April 14. Joe married Dorothy Cairns in Pilot Mound, Man. on April 14, 1930. They resided in many small communities in the Killarney district but often said their most enjoyable years were spent in Lena. Joe leaves behind his wife Dorothy; sister Mildred; daughters, Shirley and Sandra (Gabe) son Winston (Marion) grandchildren, David, Sharon, Shane and Candace; great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Breanna. Joe had a great love and enthusiasm for life. He enjoyed meeting people and sharing stories with them, especially business affairs and politics. One of Joes most outstanding qualities was his entrepreneurial spirit. Due to family circumstances and economic conditions, he was always considering creative and innovative ways to earn a living. Joes career was a great adventure and included a number of different activities. Although his sales exploits covered many different areas, his most enjoyable years were spent working with Frank Collyer. It was only intended to be for six months but lasted for 23 years. Joe and his family would like to thank all the many friends who have visited, sent flowers and food, cards, comforting words and prayers.
