Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIA CONCEICAO BRITO It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Maria Conceicao Brito on May 4, 2001. Maria was born on April 13, 1916 in Chafe-Viana do Castelo, Portugal. Maria was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Antonio Martins de Brito in 1997. Maria came to Canada on November 9, 1997 accompanied by her daughter-in-law Maria Jose to join her son Alcino and two grandchildren Leonel and Marco Jose, with whom she resided until her passing. Maria will be remembered by her other son Jose Luis, daughter-in-law Ana Maria and their children Nelson and Nancy Brito of Mississauga, Ont. Her two sisters, three brothers, nieces, nephews and many friends will also miss her. Prayers will be held 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 9 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 10 at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Maria will be buried alongside her husband at Chafe cemetery, Viana Do Castelo-Portugal.
