STELLA RAYNOR Peacefully, on Tuesday, June 5, 2001 with her daughters, Margaret and Gayle; grand-daughters, Jennifer and Cassandra by her side, Stella went to a better place. Stella is survived by her husband Thomas of Sechelt, BC; daughters, Candace Miller (Gary) of Thompson, MB, Margaret Thompson (Steve) of Winnipeg, MB, Carol Brown (Mike) of Viscount, SK and Gayle Raynor (Travis) of Winnipeg. Stella also leaves her grandchildren, Cindy, Sherri, Bradley, Jennifer, Andrew, Robert, David, Katherine, Cassandra; her brothers, Paul Crawford (Winn) of Victoria, BC, Bill Krawetz (Renee) of Winnipeg; and her nephew and nieces, Curtis, Michelle and Christine. Stella and Thomas were married on September 1, 1950 in Winnipeg. Their marriage took them to the north. While she was raising her family, she was actively involved in the community. Stella was in her element when camping and gardening. When winter snows brought her inside, she busied herself with sewing and crafts. Stellas courage and strength were inspirational to us all. A celebration of Stellas life will take place on Saturday, June 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 232 Kennedy St. Donations may be made in Stellas memory to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Manitoba Division, 400-141 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3B 0R3. It’s been 20 years...I have thought of you over the years with such admiration. Even in the PCH you volunteered your time to help others. Especially as president of the Resident Council, your courage through a very hard illness was an inspiration to us all... - Posted by: Evelyn chartrand (Friend/ caregiver) on: Apr 11, 2021
