MICHAEL PRYMAK 1920 - 2001 Peacefully, on Monday, June 25, 2001, Michael Prymak, aged 80 years, passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital. He will be sadly missed and joyfully remembered by his loving wife Amelia (Min) son Thomas (Yassy) three daughters, Terry (Don) Pangman, Andrea Prymak(Max Johnson), and Chris (Gord) Lischynski; eight grandchildren, Luke, Matthew, Daniel, Shari, Kaitlyn, Katherine, Lindsay and Cyrus. Also left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Lee Morrison and Anne Holack; and many special nieces and nephews. Michael was born November 12, 1920 in Rembrandt, MB. He was the youngest of Andrew and Sabinas three children. They moved to Winnipeg, where he was raised and educated. He served in the RCAF during the Second World War. Michael joined the Winnipeg Fire Department in 1946, rose through the ranks to the position of District Chief and retired after 38 years of service. He married Min in 1947 and together they raised four children in Winnipeg. He worked hard throughout his life, but always found time for family and friends. He loved sports of all kinds, but avidly enjoyed hockey, fishing, curling, golf and working out at the Wellness Institute. Michaels wife and children wish to thank the nursing staff of Concordia and Seven Oaks Hospitals, (ICU), The Winnipeg Fire Department and Firefighters Support Group, Joni Kullman, family and friends for all their help and support. According to Michaels wishes, cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 28 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Munroe and Brazier with Brother Greg Mulligan, OFM, Cap. officiating. A private interment will take place at Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a gift in memory of Michael may be made to The Fire Fighters Burn Fund, the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of ones choice.
