Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARIANNE HODGSON Peacefully, on June 29, 2001, Marianne Hodgson passed away at the Golden West Centennial Lodge, at the age of 105 years. She was predeceased by her first husband James Hall in 1919 and by her second husband William Hodgson in 1969; her sons, Roy Hodgson in April 1984 and Gil Hall in November 1984; her grandson Roy Hodgson in 1988 and granddaughter Marilyn Ogilvie in 1995. Marianne is survived by her loving family, son Glen and his wife Eleanor; daughters-in-law, Irene Hodgson of Winnipeg and Phyliss Giles of Vancouver, B.C., eight grandchildren, Judy (Hall) Riddall, Barry Hall and wife Lourdis, Richard Hall, Ron Hall and wife Jori of Vancouver, Lenore Harris of Red Deer, Alta., Dianne and husband Garry Cornelson of Winnipeg, William Hodgson and wife Emma of Harleysville, Pennsylvania and Susan and husband Stephen Shail of Saskatoon, Sask.; 22 great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. Marianne was born in Randalstown, County Antrim, Ireland on February 26, 1896 and has resided in Winnipeg since coming to Canada in 1919. Young in spirit, Marianne was devoted to her family and her deep Christian faith, which guided her throughout her long life. An inspiration to all who knew her, she touched many lives with her warmth and kindness and ready smile. A charter member of Bethesda Church, she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and the Womens Weekly Prayer Group. Bethesda played a very important role in her life and the friendships that she made there were deeply treasured. The family would like to thank Golden West Centennial Lodge staff for the loving care given to Marianne over the past six years. Following a family graveside service, a memorial service will be held on Friday, July 6 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with Majors Don and Daphne Maye officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Golden West Centennial Lodge, the Winnipeg Bible College or to a charity of their own choice. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211

Of course I remember you! We used to sing "you are my sunshine" over and over when we spent time together at the lake, you were so young! I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom, I hope you and your dad are doing well and in good health! thank-you so much for getting in touch with me, Im so excited to hear from you. I haven't been with my family in 20 years...I'm kinda lonely , so I found this obituary looking online for any information I could find about how everyone is doing.
