LEMPI LILIJA POULTON Peacefully, following a lengthy illness on Thursday, July 17, 2001, at her residence Lempi Lilija Poulton passed away at the age of 77 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her companion Lucien Byette; her children, William (Gloria) Poulton, Barbara (Leo) Boivin; grandchildren, Michelle Herboth (Chris), Jesse Vialoux, Jason Vialoux, Rhonda Boivin, Michael Boivin (Megan) and Amanda Boivin; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Herboth and Dante Boivin; sisters, Tine (Ross), Ritchie of Dauphin, MB, Sylvi Niemi of Selkirk, MB, Marta Arpin of Ontario and Elsie Joanson of Rorketon, MB. Lempi was predeceased by her daughter Sandra Vialoux; brothers, Aale and Viljo Wauhkonen; and sister Helvi Niemi. Lempi served in the Armed Forces in the Second World War. She was always known for her knowledge and love of football. The family would like to thank Dr. Kettner, Dr. Lezack and staff for their kindness and care given over the years. Visitation will take place on Monday, July 23 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 232 Kennedy St. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 25 at 11:00 a.m., also in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
