SISTER ALICE RABNETT (M. ST. IGNATIUS RNDM) March 10, 1914 - July 27, 2001 On Friday, July 27, 2001 at Health Sciences Centre, Sister Alice Rabnett of the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions, died peacefully after a massive stroke. Alice leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Doreen (Cal) of Winnipeg; sister Isabel Rabnett of Regina; nephews, Brian of Vancouver and Craig (Debra) and daughter Lauren of Calgary and the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions. She was predeceased by her parents Alice and Alfred Rabnett. Alice was born in Moosomin, SK On March 10, 1914. She received her elementary and high school education at Sacred Heart Academy, Regina and joined the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions. For 68 years, Alice served very faithfully in various capacities: teacher, novice directress, community leader, principal of St. Edwards School (nine years), parish secretary and sacristan. She was a very special woman who will be greatly missed. Prayers will be held on Sunday, July 29, at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. The funeral service will take place on Monday, July 30 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edwards Church, 818 Arlington Ave. with Father S. Argenziano as main celebrant. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sister Alices memory to the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions for their Peruvian missions. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL in care of arrangements 586-8044.
