ADELINE (LENA) RANSON Peacefully on Friday, August 17, 2001, Lena Ranson passed away at the Portage General Hospital at the age of 84. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie, on Tuesday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the family plot at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Lena is predeceased by her husband Frank; her parents Hulda and August Frohwerk; sisters, Marie Frohwerk, Annie Bush and Elsie Johnson; brothers, Ben, Bill, Ewald and Donald Frohwerk; grandson Jason Bulachowski. She is survived by daughters, Betty Ann (Gerald) Bulachowski and Isabel (Edward) Boyachek; granddaughters, Pam (Munna) Zaman, Michele (John) Adamski and Jenna Bulachowski; great-grandchildren, Amina and Riana Zaman, Caley and Sean Adamski. She is also survived by sisters, Hertha (Jake) Kowcun, Augusta St. Laurent and Martha Carr; sisters-in-law Alma Frohwerk and Ethel Frohwerk; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lena was born September 1, 1916, spending her younger years with her family in the Salem district. On her marriage to Frank she moved to Portage, where she resided until her passing. She lived in her home until moving to Lions Prairie Manor in March of 1999. She was a loving mother to her family and will be deeply missed. Friends may call at the funeral home for visitation on Monday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Omega Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
