MARY ELIZABETH THOMSON (September 7, 1927 - August 24, 2001) It is with great sadness and sorrow that Mary Thomson quietly passed away surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Fred and Ann Patrick is mourned by her husband Allister; daughter Jan; son-in-law Doug; grandchildren, Shaun (Darcie), Cameron (Amie) and Tara (John) Volkart; and her brother Geoff Patrick. Throughout her life, she had endured many challenges and hardships, but her strong will and courage enabled her to prevail above it all. Unfortunately the human heart can only handle so many battles. Mary truly was the most polite, pleasant, caring, loving, and endearing woman up to her very last breath. She was forever proud of all her family, whom she loved with all her heart. Always putting the needs of others first. Mary has blessed so many hearts throughout her life, and genuinely enlightened the lives of all she encountered. We should only be so lucky to grow to be half the person as she. Gramma, we love you so very much, and you will be greatly missed. We will now leave with the blessing you had ended every telephone conversation with: "Goodbye, God bless, I love you". Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 27, at St. Saviours Anglican Church, Grey Street and Munroe Avenue with Rev. Rick Condo officiating. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of Canada, N3035-431 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 9Z9. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
