Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACOB TIELMANN After a short four week stay at the hospital, Jacob Tielmann went to be with his Lord and Saviour on August 23, 2001. He was born on July 19, 1930 to Jacob and Helena Tielmann in Neu Halbstadt, Ukraine. At the age of 11 years Jake decided to accept Christs offer of forgiveness and to live for Him. He immigrated to Canada in 1949, settling in Winnipeg. In 1953 he married his lifes partner, Martha Harder. In 1954 he began work with Independent Jewellers and remained there until his retirement in January, 1991. Pleasing the customer was always his main goal. Jake and Martha enjoyed 10 years of retirement, spending many happy hours at the lake. He leaves to mourn his passing, but celebrating his life his wife Martha; son Walter and wife Anny of Winnipeg, son Harry and wife Carolyn of Ochre River, MB, daughter Karen and husband Vern Friesen of Winnipeg and seven grandchildren; sister Lena of Abbotsford, BC; brother Peter and family of Abbotsford, BC, and brother Walter and family of Bielefeld, West Germany. Viewing will be held on Sunday, August 26 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. Funeral service is on Monday, 10:30 a.m., August 27 at Portage Ave. Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastor Claude Pratte officiating. Interment will be in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Family Life Network, 225 Riverton Ave., R2L 0N1. Arrangements entrusted to Klassen Funeral Chapel, 338-0331.
