Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE DAVID BEATTY On Monday, August 27, 2001, at the Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital, Stonewall, George David Beatty, aged 86 years, beloved husband of Lea Beatty, of Warren, MB. Born February 1, 1915, in Green Lake, SK, he was a veteran of the Second World War, had been employed with C.N.R. retiring in 1975, and in his younger years worked for the Department of Forestry in Saskatchewan. He was a member of the Warren Lions Club, Unit 101 of Khartum Temple, and had been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Woodlands. Surviving besides his wife Lea, two daughters, Marilyne Miley, Florence (Ken) Novak; seven grandchildren, Suzanne, Heather, Christopher, Colin, Derrick, Colin, and Steven; four great-grandchildren, James, Haden, Calum, Izabella; one sister Sheila; his mother-in-law Annette Fleury; two sisters-in-law, Helen and Sibyl; two brothers-in-law, Percy and Dennis; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister Thelma; and three brothers, Fred, Ronald, and Tyrell. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 31 at 2:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. John Stennett will officiate. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Dr. Evelyn Memorial Hospital for their excellent care.
