Date of Passing: Aug 26, 2001
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKAZMER JOSEPH OCHOCKI Peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2001, our beloved father and gigi went into eternal rest, at the age of 69 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his only son Perry and daughter-in-law Leanne; along with his two granddaughters, Stephanie and Chelsea, all of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Anne, in 1986. Throughout his life, Kazmer endured many challenges and hardships, but his faith and courage enabled him to prevail above it all. Unfortunately, the human heart can only handle so many battles. Kazmer was truly the most caring and loving father and he was forever proud of his two granddaughters, whom he loved with all his heart. He had a quiet but strong love for his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and was a member of Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Parish for over 45 years. It is no coincidence to those that knew him, that Kazmers middle name was Joseph. St. Joseph, the foster-father of Jesus, was a living witness of the meaning of manliness; the nobility of human labour; and the dignity of married love. We thank you Dad for your witness of what it means to be a Godly man. There could be no better role model. We will miss you! Panakhyda will be sung at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watt Street at Munroe Avenue. Divine liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, also at the church. Rev. Fr. Darren Kawiuk officiating. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 1020 MAIN STREET 582-0973 Only one thing is impossible for man - to avoid death. To have communion with God is possible for him, if he understands how it is possible. For if he wishes and understands (how it is to be done) through faith and love, testified by a good life, a man can commune with God. St. Anthony the Great Dear Lord, Hold our Gigi in Your tender care, comfort him for all he suffered and love him as we did when he was here. Sadly missed but always in our hearts. We will always love you Gigi. "VICHNAYA PAMYAT" Love your granddaughters, Stephanie and Chelsea
