DIETRICH (DICK) UNGER 1935 - 2001 Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, September 21, 2001 at 12:25 p.m. at St. Boniface Palliative Care Unit at the age of 66 years, Dietrich Unger passed away. Dietrich is survived by his loving wife Laura; only son Darryl; and four daughters, Cindy, Elsie, Holly and Jewel and their spouses. He also leaves to mourn his only sister Dora Harvey and husband Frank of Tucson, AZ, as well as two nieces and their families and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, September 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Many thanks from the family to the Palliative Care Unit of St. Boniface Hospital, especially his student nurse Joel, wholl go a long way in his chosen career.
