WALTER BULAS After a courageous six year battle with cancer, Walter Bulas, of Onanole, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at the Minnedosa Health Centre, at the age of 56 years. Walter will be lovingly remembered by his wife Diann of 34 years; daughter Jennifer (Kelly) Watson of Saskatoon; granddaughters, Kurstin and Kyley; son Shawn and fiancee Dayna Poffenroth of Edmonton; brothers, Joseph and Emil (Carol) sister Darlene (Archie) Moar; and numerous other relatives and friends. Walter was born on February 3, 1945 in Alonsa, MB. He married Diann Dutchyshen on July 29, 1967. Walter had 31 years of outstanding and dedicated service as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, with postings in Moosomin, Strasbourg and Regina, SK, Winnipeg, MB, Whitehorse, YK, and Edmonton, AB. Walter and Diann retired to Onanole, MB. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 29 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsuss Roman Catholic Church, Minnedosa. Interment will follow in St. Judes Roman Catholic Cemetery, Erickson. Prayers will be held on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at St. Judes Roman Catholic Church, Erickson. Rev. Deacon Conrad Plante will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice. Raes Funeral Service of Shoal Lake are in care of the arrangements. (204) 759-2160.
