ELIZABETH (BETTY) ANNE PUGH (nee WOODMAN) Passed away peacefully in the early hours of September 11, 2001 in the arms of her daughter, Beverley, and son, Graham. Wife of Gerald ffoliott Pugh (Late), Betty is survived by her son Brian Frances (Gloria) daughter Beverley Jane; son David Graham; grandson Brennan Dylan and sister Jean Fraser. Born in Winnipeg on October 9, 1920, Betty graduated from Ruperts Land Girls School in 1939. Following her wedding in 1943, Betty moved to Comox, BC where Gerald was stationed. After the war, they moved to Sidney, NS and later to Moncton, NB where she especially enjoyed her cottage at McKee Mills. In 1978, Betty and Gerald moved back to Comox where she played golf, cycled and became an avid painter. Suffering from poor health, Betty moved into the care of her daughter, Beverley, in January 1998. She enjoyed short walks to the garden with her caregivers, Pam and Theresa, and her dogs, Susan and Jewels. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 5, at 1:00 p.m., at Fenwick United Church, 1050 Church St., Fenwick, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations to Covenant House, Toronto, or Welland County Hospital, Welland, are greatly appreciated. Arrangements in the care of PASSFIELD MORTUARY SERVICES 905-682-0474
