ABIGAIL (ABBY) RAETZEN (LEVINSON) After a lengthy illness, peacefully, with her family by her side, it is with great sadness we announce the passing of our wife and mother, Abby Raetzen, aged 82 years, on October 7, 2001, at the Riverview Health Centre. Abby was predeceased by her parents, Molly and Hesse Levinson and by her siblings, Rae Markson, Muriel Levinson and Aaron (Buddy) Levinson. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years, Alvin; and by her children, Mark (Andrea) and Anne (David), as well as her sisters, Ruth Moscovich of Richmond, B.C. and Nessa Caminetsky of Winnipeg and several nieces and nephews. She will also be fondly remembered by many life long friends. A graveside service was held at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery on October 8 with Rabbi Alan Green officiating. Pallbearers were David Milani, Michael Caminetsky, Barry Berger, David Wilder, Jack Hurtig and Nate Ratson. The family wishes to thank the wonderful, caring staff at Riverview Health Centre A2 for the loving and compassionate care they gave to Abby over the past 18 months. Special thanks to Rosalie Toledo and Perlita Espirito, Abbys caregivers for the last several years, whose loving devotion meant more than words can ever express to Abby and her family. If friends, so desire, contributions in Abbys memory, may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation or the Jewish Foundation of Manitoba or any charity of ones choice. No Shiva.
