JEANNE TISSOT (MORRISH) Peacefully, on October 11, 2001 at Middlechurch Personal Care Home, Jeanne passed away with her daughter by her side. A woman of humour, wit and grace will be lovingly remembered and missed by her two sons, Brian and Terry; her daughter Maureen; her grandchildren, Roberta, Jessica, and Caroline; and her great-granddaughter Georgia; as well as her late husbands (Gus) children, Jackie, Sue, Debbie, Louise and Gerry. She will also be remembered forever by her dear friend and Middlechurch companion Gloria Harlow. Jeanne was predeceased by her son Randy and husband Henri Gaetan (Gus). Jeanne was born April 30, 1916 as Jeanne Hopkins. Having lost her mother at a very young age, Jeanne ambitiously tackled life with determination and perseverance. Jeanne was the valedictorian of her class, then went on to study ballet and modeling in Toronto. She was very active in sailing and down hill skiing. She moved from the East in 1958 to Winnipeg, where she continued to model and worked the next 18 years with the Medical Examiners Office (assisting) Dr. Athol Gordon. Jeanne was an active member of the Winnipeg Winter Club, where she participated in all her favou7rite sports. She spent many wonderful summers in Grand Beach. She retired as supervisor of Home Care Services after her start as a Homecare Companion, Jeanne was known by her co-workers, as well as her clients as a very compassionate, caring and empathetic woman. Jeanne was blessed with a deep abiding faith. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 15 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Pauls Middlechurch Anglican Church, 299 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul. Reception will follow at Middlechurch Personal Care Home (across the street). Our sincere gratitude for the wonderful care that mom received from all the staff at Middlechurch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeannes memory to the Salvation Army, Box 1932, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 3R2. Mom, we are grateful that we were blessed with your love.
