LILLIE E. THOMPSON Lillie E. Thompson, the beloved mother of Norma Keith and Kathleen Beatson, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2001 at The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, MB, in her 94th year. Lillie was born in McKees Mills, Kent County, New Brunswick, the only child of Harry M. Biggs and his wife Louise B. Johnston. She is the widow of Blair L. Thompson. Lillie worked for many years in the Staff Health Office at the Winnipeg Health Sciences Centre. Besides her daughters, Lillie is survived by her sons-in-law, George A. Keith and R. Bruce Beatson; her grandchildren, Kathleen, Allan and his wife Marie, and Joanne; great-grandchildren, Margaret, Gillian, Alexander, and Colin, and her sister-in-law Mrs. Irene Harmer. A memorial service will take place at The Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, on Thursday, November 1 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Allan Doerksen of Augustine United Church will be officiating assisted by Chaplain Lynne Austen and Rev. Karen Toole. A committal service will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Moncton, NB. on Wednesday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so wish, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society of Manitoba or the Middlechurch Home Foundation.
