AGNES MARY POLSON (nee RAMSAY) 1919 - 2001 After a brief illness, Agnes passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years, with family at her side. Agnes was born and raised in Port Arthur, (Thunder Bay) ON, where she resided for 75 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene, her parents, and her brother Jimmie. Agnes is survived by her daughter Carol, of Winnipeg; son Mark; granddaughters, Charlene and Karina; and brother Willie, all of Thunder Bay. Mom spoke with pride and a strong sense of duty about her years as a Recruiter in the Canadian Womens Army Corps, during the Second World War. She met many famous people and travelled extensively. In 1953, after contracting polio, Mom faced a major life challenge with courage and determination, overcoming many obstacles. Agnes enjoyed many pursuits-caring for her family, loving her grandchildren, hosting tea parties, cooking, her pets, feeding the birds, playing bingo and cards, and reading mysteries. In 1995, Mom began a new adventure, moving to Winnipeg from Thunder Bay. She made new friends and developed added interests. She attended the Charleswood Adult Day Club where she nurtured her writing talents and wrote ditties about program activities. We will remember you always Mom. At Agnes request, no service will be held. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
