EMILY RUTH HILL (nee MAYTUM) April 12, 1907- November 25, 2001 On November 25, 2001 at the age of 94, Emily passed away with dignity. Emily lived in West Kildonan all her life until 1993, then moving into her own apartment. Emily was predeceased by her husband Jack in 1973; daughter Ruth in 1991; and son Ronald in 1993. Emily is survived by her sister Amy Mitchell of the U.S.A.; grandchildren, Diane (Bill) Ryan, Judy Hill (Rob), Carolyn Horbas, Darrell Hill, Patrick Mattson and fiance Roxanne, Jodi (Kris) Holland; great-grandchildren, Adam Ryan, Aaron Tashuck, and Kelly Holland; daughter-in-law Winnie Hill (Paul). Plus many loving nieces and nephews who kept in close touch with Emily, and many wonderful friends. A special thanks to Dr. Eric and Susan Jones of the U.S.A., and Gracie and Eleanor, for many years of friendship and kindness. Thank you to the doctors and nurses and the staff on 4th floor unit one at the Seven Oaks Hospital. Thank you to Sarah, Barbara and all the other home care people. There will be no service. Cremation has taken place, and these were Grannys wishes. Flowers are gratefully declined, donations in Emilys memory can be made to the C.N.I.B, or the charity of your choice.
