EDITH (ALEXANDER) THOMPSON On November 29 2001, at the Palliative Care Unit, Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal, in her 76th year. Adored mother of Gordon (Betty Lamb), Jane, Christine of Australia, and Catherine (Scott Waugh). Proud grandmother of 15, step-grandmother of two and great-grandmother to four in Sydney Australia. Survived her sister Nancy Sikorski, and nephews David and Paul of Winnipeg. Edith battled briefly against insurmountable odds, but was surrounded by her family until her passing. Of special importance to her were her cherished P.E.O. sisters in Montreal, Edmonton and Winnipeg. Private funeral for family at Mount Royal Cemetery. Celebration of her life, for family and friends, will be at Beaconsfield United church, at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 5, 202 Woodside Rd., Beaconsfield. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital would be appreciated, 687 Pine Ave. W., Montreal, PQ, H3A 1A1. Mom lived her life of gladness with grace and dignity, and leaves her family as her legacy.
