Offer Condolences or Memory(MABEL) DOREEN (CAMPBELL) PRATT January 3, 1931 - December 9, 2001 Peacefully in her sleep, while in the comfort of her home and surrounded by the things she treasured, Doreen let her body rest early Sunday morning after a lengthy, courageous and stoic battle with cancer. As per her wishes, in lieu of a funeral, her life will be celebrated at her Rosser farm (Dodis Lamblot) on Thursday, December 13, 2001 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Doreen gratefully declines flowers, preferring donations be made in her name to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association. The family joins Doreen in profoundly thanking one and all whom have helped and supported us during this difficult time. To our beloved Doreen, we all join in extending our deep, never-ending love. We fondly thank you for giving so much of yourself to so many of us. Always and forever, we will remember you in our minds but most importantly, we will carry you in our hearts.

You were never just another 'foster parent' to me; you were my mom in every sense of the word, more than anyone else ever was. Your support, love, and guidance helped shape me into the person I am today. I miss you, mom, and love you very much. I've shared stories with my kids about the incredible impact you had on my life and how you were the first to hold my baby boy, creating a special bond that can never be broken. Although I wish you were still here with us, celebrating life's milestones and creating new memories, I carry you with me every day, honoring your memory and the values you instilled in me. Today, on your birthday, and tomorrow, on mine - I'm turning 40, by the way - I wish we could be together, celebrating as we always did.
