RUTH EMMA RASMUSSEN (nee QUALLY) Peacefully on December 25, 2001 at Oakview Place, Ruth Rasmussen passed away at the age of 85 years. Ruth is survived by her husband Walter of 64 years and their children, Ron (Gwen), Janice (Jim Shirtliffe), David and Darlene Miller. Ruth is also survived by grandchildren, Kathie, Danny, Sonja, Christine, Steve, Patti, Leanne, Jodi, Greg and Adam as well as 14 great-grandchildren; brother Orville (Bud) and sister-in-law Helma. She was predeceased by her brothers Percy and Russell. Moms life centered around the farming community and the love and care of her family. She was lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the E.L.W. She was actively involved in the community and enjoyed many years of curling. Mom was always a good neighbor and a kind and generous friend. Mom and Dad enjoyed many good times together with family and friends. Moms final home was Oakview Extendicare where she received excellent care and comfort. The family extends gratitude to the staff of 1 East for all their kindness and compassion during this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church elevator fund or Bethlehem Memorial Gardens. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Starbuck, MB with Pastor Ron Vert officiating. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
