WILLIAM ANDREW (DREW) BECKWITH
Date of Passing: Jan 07, 2002
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ANDREW (DREW) BECKWITH Unexpectedly on Monday, January 7, 2002 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, Drew Beckwith passed away at the age of 63. Drew was born and raised in Winnipeg. As a youth, he enjoyed summers at the family cottage in Matlock, MB. It was likely during this time when his lifelong love for the outdoors was forged. Drew enjoyed many hobbies and activities during his life; he very much enjoyed riding horses, camping, fishing and canoeing. He made many friends during the twenty years he worked at Great-West Life, and Dad was also very proud of his many years of service in the Ft. Garry Horse army reserve regiment, eventually attaining the rank of Lieutenant. Dad touched the lives of many people through the fellowships to which he belonged; more than many of us realized. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 11 at 2:30 p.m. at Young United Church, 222 Furby St., Winnipeg. (please use Furby Street entrance) In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. We will see you again in the fullness of time . . . but until then, you will be missed.
