Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES ELIZABETH THOM (nee GARDINER) Agnes Elizabeth Thom (nee Gardiner) passed away peacefully January 18, 2002 at the Vista Park Nursing Home, Winnipeg. Agnes was born May 2, 1920 in Midland, ON. She married Jack Thom on November 23, 1940 and was predeceased by her husband of 41 years John (Jack) Hastie Thom in 1981; her only son Gordon in 1984; sisters, Margaret Hillman, Mildred Hillman and brother George Gardiner. Agnes is survived by her daughter-in-law Shirley; grandchildren, Shane (Cheryl), Sandie Lee (Devin Jarvis), Sherri-Lyn; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Audrey (Larry) Head, Mary Mihalicz; brother Jim (Dolly) Gardiner and many nieces and nephews. Agnes and her husband farmed in the Salsbury District for many years, retiring to Winnipeg in the 1970s. She especially enjoyed her many hours spent with her three grandchildren as well as her winter holidays with her sister Audrey and Larry and her brother George and Evelyn in Las Vegas. At her request her nephews will be Pallbearers. Special thanks to the Staff of Vista Park Lodge. Funeral service will be held at the Neepawa United Church, Neepawa, MB on Wednesday, January 23, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Joe Ball officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Agnes honour to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. Whites Funeral Home, Neepawa in care of arrangements.
