Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryADELINE JULIANNA PODRUSKI (SCHEER) 1932 - 2002 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and best friend. Adeline passed away on January 20, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital with family at her side. Adeline was born March 25, 1932 to parents John and Lydia Scheer. She is survived by her husband Mike of 25 years. Two children, daughter Diane (Ken) Bialek, grand-daughter Kerry of Beausejour, MB. Son Robert (Dorothy) Kamaraus, grandson Jamie of Weyburn, SK. Also four brothers, Fred (Mary Lou) Scheer of Mehema, OR; William Scheer, Beausejour, MB; Albert (Lena) Scheer, Chilliwack, BC; Leo (Gail) Scheer, Winnipeg; two sisters, Gerti Russell, Dryden, ON; Eleanor (Wally) Loewen, Dufersne, MB and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. By in-laws, Frances Sawisky, Edmonton, AB; Helen Podruski, Regina, SK; Paul Podruski, Minnedosa, MB; Stanley (Gertie) Podruski, Valley Center, CA. Adeline was predeceased by her parents, John and Lydia Scheer; brother Edward Scheer and sisters-in-law Edith and Wanda Scheer. Adeline grew up on the family farm in Cromwell, where she also received her schooling. At harvest time Adeline was her dads and neighbours best bundle team driver. She also worked at various places in Beausejour and lastly at the Beausejour District Hospital for 16 years as a Nurses Aid. In December 1976 she married Mike Podruski and they made their home in Minnedosa, MB. Adeline was a very loving, caring and compassionate person. She was someone you could turn to for advise or a shoulder to cry on. A dedicated volunteer, whether it was for St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, the community, Austin Threshermans Reunion or helping family and friends. She was an excellent cook that anyone could attest to after visiting the Podruski home or the family picnic table at the Austin Threshermans Reunion, no one left with an empty stomach. She was a member of the Manitoba Agricultural Museum Ladies Auxiliary. Adeline also helped her husband Mike, restore antique tractors. Adeline enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress like her mother. She did alterations for various clothing stores in Minnedosa, besides friends and acquaintances. Besides sewing and volunteering, Adeline enjoyed gardening and looking after her flowers and yard, not only will Adeline be missed by family and friends but also the deer that came to their backyard to feast on her garden. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of their choice. Prayers on Thursday January 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Sparrow Funeral Home Minnedosa. Funeral Service will be held on January 25 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, Minnedosa.
