ROY A. PUTERBAUGH 1912 - 2002 Roy Puterbaugh, beloved husband of Sophie, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2002 at the Meadowwood Manor Care Home at the age of 89 years. Roy leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memory his loving wife Sophie; his son Garry (Candace) his grandchildren, Lisa and Derek; as well as numerous other relatives and dear friends. Roy was born on June 6, 1912 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of George and Freda Puterbaugh. He worked for the C.N.R. for 49 years and in 1932 was united in marriage with Sophie Leipert in Tessier, SK. Over the years the couple lived in Dauphin and The Pas and when he retired moved into Winnipeg. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 6 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
