DORIS (DORA) POLLOCK On Thursday, March 14, 2002, at the Portage and District General Hospital, Doris (Dora) Pollock, of Portage la Prairie, widow of the late John Pollock passed away at the age of 92 years. Prayers will be held in the Chapel of the Omega Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Ukrainian Catholic Church of Assumption on Wednesday, March 20 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Father Ernest Hafichuk officiating, assisted by Rev. Deacon Michael Strilec. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Predeceased by her husband, she leaves to mourn her son Walter (Anna) of Portage la Prairie; her daughter Deanne (Ray) Rose of Portage la Prairie and her son Donald (Bonnie) of St. Catharines, ON; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren. Also surviving is family in the Ukraine and several nieces and nephews. Should friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Doris memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Ukrainian Catholic Church Memorial Window Fund.
