Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOYCE THURLOW (nee RUTHERFORD) Peacefully, after a short illness, on Saturday, March 23, 2002, Joyce passed away at Kindersley Hospital, in Kindersley, SK, at the age of 67. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband Tom of Alsask, SK; daughters, Corrie-Mae (Bruce) Farmer and Gillian (Allen) Michaels; son Graham (Cheryl) Thurlow; and the joys of her life, grandsons, Kelly and Kyle Michaels and granddaughter Madison Thurlow, all of Winnipeg. Also surviving are her sisters, Joan Eccles, Melanie Jeffrey and Edwina Lloyd, all of Kelowna, BC. Joyce was born in Hamiota, MB on April 22, 1934, the sixth and youngest daughter of Edward and Nellie Rutherford. She married Tom Thurlow in Hamiota in May 1954 and during the following 35 years served with him in parishes in Manitoba, BC and Saskatchewan. In 1989 they left Wadena, SK and retired to Alsask, SK, where they lived up to the time of her passing. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in St. Marys Anglican Church in Kindersley on Saturday, March 30 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date in Hamiota, MB. Her family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, and Kindersley Hospital for their care and compassion. If friends so desire, a donation in Joyces memory can be made to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation, the Canadian Bible Society Bible-a-Month Club, or a charity of your choice.
