RUBY BEILNER (nee WENSEL) Peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2002 Ruby passed away at the Pinecrest Home in Kenora, ON at the age of 86 years. She is survived by three sons, Norman (Diane), John (Eleanor) and Gerald (Jennifer) seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; her brother Norman Wensel; sisters, Hettie Dawes and Lorraine Hedman; also nieces and nephews. Ruby was predeceased by her parents, Adolf and Emily; husband Joe; brother Wilfred Wensel; and sister Gertie Heichert. Ruby was born and raised in Winnipeg where she lived until 1947, when she and Joe moved to Keewatin, ON where they raised their three sons. While in Keewatin, Ruby was employed by the Northland Hotel. She was an avid curler and one of her proudest moments was her eight ender. In 1960 they returned to Winnipeg and she was employed by the T. Eaton Co. for over 25 years, retiring in 1981. First and foremost Mom loved her family. She was a warm and loving mother and grandmother with a special relationship for each of her children and grandchildren. Mom will be remembered for her wonderful cooking and care of family and friends. She especially enjoyed times spent at the lake. Mom leaves many cherished memories for her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and always loved. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff at the Pinecrest Home for the loving care given to Mom. Cremation has taken place. Following Rubys request, no service will be held at this time. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
