THERESIA BEIERLE (nee DIVO) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, Theresia Beierle at Seven Oaks Hospital on Sunday, May 5, 2002 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by her husband Mathias, parents, three sisters, and one brother. Theresia will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Rose Heckl and Barbara (George) Broder; three grandchildren, Mike (Darlene) Heckl, George (Mariola) Broder and Monica (Joe) Treat; four great-grandchildren, Kristen, Anthony, Katrina and Alanna; many nieces and nephews in Chicago, Germany and Austria. Theresia was born in Yugoslavia on July 20, 1908. During the war she lost her husband. Being alone with her two daughters was very difficult. They moved to Austria in 1947 and lived there until they immigrated to Canada in May, 1953. Since their arrival in Canada she worked hard to provide a good life for her family. She retired from St. Josephs Home on Salter at the age of 67. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 9, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, Mountain and Andrews, with Fr. Diosdado Parrenas officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
