ANNA POSALUKO With sorrow in our hearts we announce that our dear mother Anna passed away on May 6, 2002 at the age of 93 and entered into greater glory and fullness of life. Left to cherish her memory are her son Alfred, her daughter Elsie Moranta, sister Antonette Griston, brother Michael Balitsky, 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grand-children. Anna was predeceased by her parents, Anton and Mary Balitsky; brothers, Fred, Steve, and Nick; sisters, Nell, Helen and Mary; her husband Michael in 1962; daughters, Jean Molinski, Vicki Trojanowski in 1985 and Rosemary Cano; and great-granddaughter Kelsey Jones in 1996. Anna was a lover of life - she entered into all relationships and activities with interest and enthusiasm. She loved nature, berry picking, gardening, cooking, sewing, crafts, music and song was a big part of her life. Anna was a pioneer member of St. Josaphats Church, a longtime volunteer with Holy Family Nursing Home, Canadian Red Cross and various seniors organizations. Anna was a mother and friend to many - her heart and home were always open to entertain with great food, lively conversation, laughter and song. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by many. We wish to thank caregivers, family and friends for their kind support. Prayers will be held on Thursday, May 9 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Thalberg, MB, with Rev. Fr. Ivan Demkiw officiating. Interment will follow in Parish Cemetery.
