JOEL C. NELSON Retired Air Traffic Controller Peacefully in hospital on Friday, June 14, 2002 at the age of 71 years. Son of the late Benjamin and Selma Nelson. Beloved husband of Doreen. Loving father of Terry (Bruce Wilson) of Winnipeg, Randall (Diana) of Vernon, Cindy of Calgary, Brenda (Bruce Bookbinder) of Toronto, Steven Yuck (Marisa) of Ottawa and Paul Yuck (Francine) of Aylmer. Dear stepfather of Doreens sons, Nigel and Paul Welton, and their families in England. Cherished grandfather of 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Rd. at Albion Road on Tuesday, June 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 19 at 2:00 p.m. in St. James Anglican Church, Manotick.
