ROSE THERESIA FARNELL (nee WEBER) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Rose Farnell on Sunday, June 30, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 88 years. She was born in Winnipeg on January 10, 1914 and lived in the city her whole life. Rose will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family, daughter Janet Collins (Leonard) of Winnipeg; son Robert Horner (Roberta) of Sandy Hook, MB; one sister Freda Mudrosky of Winnipeg; four grandchildren, Gail Harris (Cliff), Carol Russell (Ray) of Winnipeg, Douglas Horner (Sharon) of Slave Lake, AB, Tannis Janzen (Dennis Nychuck) of Thompson, MB. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Rose was predeceased by her husband Austin of 51 years of marriage on January 21, 2002; her parents, Christian and Maria Weber; four brothers, Jack, Walter, Harold and Clarence Weber; and one sister Bertha Doern, all of Winnipeg. Roses funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6 at 10:00 a.m. in Deer Lodge United Church, 2093 Portage Ave. at Belvidere Street. Inurnment will follow in the cemetery of Chapel Lawn, 4000 Portage Ave. The family wishes to thank Dr. Yip and the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital, Ward 7A South, for their care and compassion shown to Rose and her family during her stay there. Your kindness and understanding at this difficult time were greatly appreciated. Her weary hours and troubled nights Her days of pain have passed And though our hearts are aching now We know shes found true rest at last Though her smile is gone forever And her hand we cannot touch We will never lose the memory of the One we loved so much. To all who have a Mother Please treasure her with care For you will never know the heartache felt When you find she isnt there We love you Mom and you will live in our hearts forever.
