MONICA TERESA RACCIO (nee KOSZYK) Peacefully, at home with her family by her side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Monica passed away on Monday, July 1, 2002, at the age of 43. She will always remain in the hearts of her loving husband Perry; son Ryan; mother Erna; mother-in-law Beatrice Raccio; sister Susanna (Ken) sisters-in-law, Linda (Scott), Pat; brother-in-law Terry (Debbie) along with numerous nieces, nephews and very close friends. Monica was predeceased by her father Wojcik (1991) and brother John (1973). Cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 5, at 3:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with a reception to follow. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thank you to those who were there to offer their love and support during this difficult time. The family would also like to thank CancerCare Manitoba for their kindness and excellent care. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Monica may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend. But still you kept on fighting, Until the very end. God saw you getting tired, When a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered, Come with Me."
