BARBARA PROBERT With her family and friends at her side, our loving mother, grandmother and friend passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2002 at the Riverview Hospital. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Christa), Ryan and Kelly (Dave) Kovach; grandchildren, Andrew, Curtis and Lindsay Probert; her friend whom she considered to be a sister Beverly Stehmann; David Sargent and his daughter Talia; Jeff Sargent, Leanne Sargent and their children, Chelsea and Christopher. Barb always treasured her memories of travelling on the train to Grosse Isle, MB and spending the summer at Aunt Lu and Uncle Roy Davidsons farm. Barb worked for many years as both a real estate agent and broker. She served two terms on the Board of Directors for the Winnipeg Real Estate Board. Barb enjoyed an active life, balanced between both work and play. In her younger years she played ringette and enjoyed golf at the Southwood Golf and Country Club. She enjoyed bowling and had a great passion for playing bridge. Barb was an active member with the St. Clements Church, where she took great pleasure in attending the services there. Her grandchildren were a tremendous source of joy to her. She enjoyed spending time with them and she was so looking forward to the birth of her newest grandchild. A memorial service in celebration of Barbs life will be held on Monday, July 8 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Clements Anglican Church, with Rev. Canon Godfrey Mawejje officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Kirk and the staff on 3 East at the Riverview Health Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barbs name to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
