KATHERINE PROVO Peacefully at Fred Douglas Lodge on September 11, 2002 Katherine Provo passed away at the age of 85. She is survived by her daughters, Betty Stokes of Winnipeg, Beatrice Halwa (Neil) of Black Diamond, AB, Susan Carroll (Bob) of Kelowna, BC; her son Don (Eileen) of Regina, SK; and daughter-in-law Beverley of Straffordville, ON. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Frank in May 1980, her son Bert in April 2001 and her son-in-law George Stokes in July 2002. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1961. Many, many thanks to all the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge and in particular Evergreen unit for the care and compassion they showed our mom. At our mothers request there will be no funeral. Flowers are gratefully declined. God looked around His garden And found an empty space, He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face, He put His arms around you And, lifted you to rest, Gods garden must be beautiful He only picks the best. He knew how you were suffering The road was getting rough, So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered "Peace be Thine", It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you Home.
