MARGARET JOAN SHARON THOMAS (One who checks the lodges) May 31, 1963 - August 3, 2002 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, Margaret Joan Sharon Thomas of Peguis First Nation on August 3, 2002. "Meg" will be mourned by her children, Chris, Adrienne, Bryan and Robert; mother Eleanor Thomas; brother Jason (Tanya) sister Susie; by Meg's special friend, Brent Zacharkow; her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; by her birth mother Stella (formerly Astakeesic), as well as brothers and sisters of that family. Meg was predeceased by her brother Rob, her daughter Skye, and by her father W.C. Thomas. Meg was talented in many ways, she was a good gardener, enjoyed making quilts, crafts, cooking, pickling and making jam. Meg will be loved and remembered always. A wake service will be held on Thursday, August 8 at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 9 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the St. Matthews Anglican Church, Peguis, MB, with Rev. Wesley Barrett and Rev. Barry Bear officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Matthews Anglican Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
