KEITH PORTER Peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2002 at his home, Keith Porter of Carman passed away at the age of 68 years. Keiths memory will be cherished by his wife Eleanor; his sons, Terry (Norma) of Brandon, Mark (Kim) of Edmonton; daughter Tracey (Uve) Schubert of Winnipeg; also stepdaughters, Janet (Wally) Scott, Dianne (Richard) Brown, Elizabeth Penner, Carol (Keith) Wadge and proud grandfather of 12. He is also survived by his father Roy and brother Glen of Homefield; brothers, Ken of Winnipeg and John of Victoria and sister Laverne (Kelly) of Belmont and numerous nieces and nephews. Keith was predeceased by his mother Kathleen and two brothers. Dad was born on December 23, 1933 on the family farm near Pleasant Valley. Dad started his work career at the age of 15. He had many occupations such as CPR Railway, Pool Elevators, carpentry, weed inspector, crop insurance and Canadian Grain Commission which took him to many towns in Manitoba. Dad enjoyed his horses, golf, gardening, wood working and square dancing. He took a keen interest in coaching and watching minor sports. One of Dads greatest interests were his grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman United Church with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be all friends and family in attendance.
