ISABELLA STRACHAN (JOHNSTON) Mrs. Isabella Strachan passed away peacefully at Concordia Place Care Centre on August 23, 2002, at the age of 99 years. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Margaret and husband Gilbert Morris of Winnipeg, Patricia and husband Donald Currie of Winnipeg, Aileen and husband David Didluck of Boissevain; sons, Bill Strachan and wife Sylvia of Winnipeg, Robert Strachan and wife Marilyn of Winnipeg. She was also the grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Isabella was predeceased by her husband Albert in 1987 and by her four sisters. Isabella was born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, on January 12, 1903. She came to Winnipeg in 1926 and was employed at the Neepawa Hotel until it was destroyed in 1927. Isabella returned to Winnipeg where she was employed with Eatons, Marlborough Hotel, The Homestead and the St. James Hotel. She was also a member of the Sons of Scotland, Mearns Camp. Isabella was married in 1928 and became the loving mother of three daughters and two sons. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Isabellas memory to Alzheimers Society, 10 - 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 4G2. A special thank you to the staff both at Central Park Lodge and Concordia Place Care Centre. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Viewing will be one hour prior to service. THOMSON FUNERAL CHAPELS 783-7211
